Why is it we find something that is so fabulous AFTER the fact… or when it’s almost “too late?”
When I was pregnant with my first baby I was not your quintesessential preggo gal. Specifically in the registry department. I didn’t want to spend tons of time figuring out what I needed or didn’t need. It took time to research and then there’s the part where you don’t want to waste money on something that isn’t fabulous. Because lets talk about it.. big priced baby swag can add up!
I recently had my third baby (5 years later than my first) and I have found a few items since then I LOVE and one I’m tempted to purchase but probably won’t. So here you go, here are some things that have wowed me and I wish I knew about them years ago.
HOLY CHRISTMAS Balls! I was super committed to breast feeding and pumped every night from 10-10:45! One night after I had my second baby I was at a ladies gathering and a gal was sitting there and she told me she was pumping. Literally while we were sitting there….YES! She recently had a baby with high needs and wasn’t able to feed directly so she had to pump all the time. I immediately bought this little gadget and have been in love ever since. However, I have noticed with this new pump I got with my 3rd baby (Spectra 9) that I had to order “adaptations’ for it to work. For the Medella you do not. Get your Freemie Cups ladies if you like to have some freedom and pump away! I literally have pumped while in workshops, walking around a casino and who knows where else!
OMG… we recently discovered these because I needed to get a bigger car if I was going to fit 3 kids in a car. I got my long awaited PINK Jeep Wrangler and needed to find 3 car seats that would fit 3 across. Well, these are what we found and my husband has bought one more for his Jeep because the other ones are JUNK compared to these. They literally are so smooth and easy to get in and out of. Just buy them after you are done with your infant carrier and don’t look for anything else. They are worth the extra $.
3. The Rocker!
I borrowed one for my first baby because I couldn’t decide on one that was worth the $, and then for my second baby I got one that is ok. Then, just the other day, I fed my third baby at my friends house and said, “Where DID you get this rocker from? I think I need it!” Geez! I probably won’t get it because I have one that is working however, just get this one and don’t look anywhere else. It literally lays back and its feet raise up and its super cozy. I could have cuddled my baby in it all day long.
And if you’re anything like me, you want to keep things super simple and not have tons of unnecessary gadgets or baby stuff that you won’t use.
This is all you really “need.”
Swaddles, diapers/wipes, nipple cream, pump, sleepers, Boppy pillow, baby swing, and somewhere for baby to sleep.
Now hit the share button and share this goodness to that gal you know who is having a baby! Save her the time and mind work.
Until next time,
