If you’ve been hanging out with me for a minute you know I love sweets. I love making healthier alternatives including my protein balls. I have all kinds of concoctions. One of my favorite is my cookie dough ball.
I have created this new concoction below and I love them even more! Theres a couple new magic ingredients that make the texture really tasty! Like a great smoothie…It’s all about a few little things that make things so much better. By the way check out my ebook The Smoothie Habit here to learn how to perfect your smoothie and get all my fav recipes.
Ok, more about these balls.
I use these ProMix protein crisps. I found them here on Amazon. I just add them to anything I want more crunchy. I also used them in these bars here.
Another ingredient I used more of in this recipe is Mila. It’s a finely grounded Chia seed that has omegas galore! It’s a superfood of superfoods! The way the seeds are sliced are microsliced and therefore open up for more omegas and nutrition to your body. If you don’t want to use these you could try regular chia but the consistency will be a little different. Or try flax seed meal with milled chia that could work too. You can get yours and read all about Mila here.
Lastly, I really like Truvani’s Vanilla Cafe protein powder for this recipe. It gives a hint of coffee flavor but not much to notice terribly. Don’t use too much dry ingredients like protein powder because it will make the ball more dry. If that does happen, use more maple syrup and nut butter to balance out the texture.

Let me know if you make these. They are currently my favorite. I keep them in the freezer and then take them out to eat them right away. They melt in your mouth and are super delicious!
