Recently I checked out the new Hot Worx fitness boutique. I like a good hot yoga class and good sweaty workouts so I was curious about this place.
The core of the boutique’s method is the infrared saunas. These saunas are hot, hot hot! So if you like it hot, keep reading. These saunas can increase blood flow and expedite the absorption of oxygen in the bloodstream which in turn can lead to better fat burning. The studio is 24 hours and once enrolled they require a booked session on an app. Each sauna is designated a certain workout with a follow along virtual recorded video. Each room can fill 3 people.
When I went I tried the hot cycle and hot bands. The cycle was 15 minutes and the bands 30 minutes. You follow along with the instructors on the videos. The videos start over after each session.
The cycle session was ok. I enjoyed the band session more. It had more isometric and slow dynamic reps with resistant bands. This was a pretty good burn and workout. I like more of a live class if I’m going somewhere to workout. However, like I said this boutique is all about the saunas as the experience. If you like hot saunas this may be for you.
Cost: When you go to a boutique style fitness center you’re going to pay more. They require a purchase of their “special” yoga mat at $99 and the monthly fee $59…. I believe is what she told me. There is no type of childcare. Most boutique studios don’t have a childcare.
Other methods you can take there are:
Hot Barre, Hot Warrior, Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates, Hot Buns, Hot Core, Hot ISO, and Hot Row..
Overall, I liked it but I didn’t enroll on a regular. It would be something I would go to once a week because I like doing a variety of training. I also need loud energizing music and this did not have that option. It’s a great option if you are looking for a hot sweaty effective workout in a sauna with maybe another person in there with you.
